Going back to the Middle Age, the Castle of La Suvera nestles on the western slopes of the Siennese Hills in the heart of Chianti in the village of Casole d’Elsa, an area blessed with an abundance of historical and artistic wealth. Built on a wooden hill and dominating the valley and vineyards below, the surrounding area is not only renown for its great historical heritage but also for its divine wines and cuisine.

La Suvera was probably a centre for the Knights Templar and it was turned into a spectacular country residence, a living museum with warm and attentive service and gracious hospitality. Furnished with antiques and historical pieces belonging to the families of the current owners, Marquis Ricci and his wife Princess Eleonora Massimo, La Suvera offers a rare collection made available to guests just as it would be in a private home. Each of the twenty-two suites has its own inventory which guest may consult should they feel inclined to satisfy their curiosity and know more of the furnishings and the furniture surrounding them.

The Oliviera restaurant, where the ancient olive press is located, proposes Italian cuisine with Tuscan specialities prepared with great attention to detail, ingredients and the marriage of flavours. As well as prestigious Italian wines including the house wines produced ecologically in the vineyard and wine cellars of La Suvera. In the evening dinner is served both in the restaurant and on the terrace.Under the shade of the lindens, the terrace of Bar dei Limoni offers light lunches just a few steps away from the pool and in full view of the lemon trees. In the evening, this is an evocative, welcoming place for a cocktail or a meal under the stars.

Relaxation is also declined with a palette of massages and beauty treatments available (Swedish massage, aromatherapy massage, reflexology massage) in the Wellness Center which is a place with unique atmosphere thanks to its location in the medieval part of the villa. You could relax on the verge of the heated swimming pool which has a hydro massage corner.
