Château Grattequina / Blanquefort

In the region of Bordeaux, the Chateau Grattequina is the perfect blend between castle & 4* luxury hotel. Ideally located at 8 km of the centre of Bordeaux and at 2 km of Bordeaux Lake, Château Grattequina, dating back to 1872, is a superb state in a beautiful country setting. Installed in a full pastoral surrounding of the corn fields which extend as far as the eye can see, Grattequina dominates the Garonne with its terrace where morning breakfast becomes an art de vivre.

Entirely renovated in 2004 by Colette and Xavier Hue, the Chateau and its cellars form an outstanding site combining elegance and modernity; indeed, the rooms and suites of the Castle and the vast peripheral terrace are adapted to all types of receptions, and offer an ideal setting for an authentic, smart and elegant marriage for up to 240 people.

Grattequina is also a hotel of charm, with its ten rooms and luxurious suites furnished with refinement offering an exceptional view on the river. As for the bathrooms, its is an inspiration to wellness thanks to the softness of the mosaics and the wood and nobles materials used. Extreme comfort combined with the warmth of a family hotel and the pleasure of a private house.

Grattequina is a place dedicated to communication where work and relaxation can be harmoniously combined in bright, elegant and quiet facilities with the Garonne and nature for background. The Castle can welcome 10 to 70 persons in the Chateau’s 3 conference rooms opening onto the vast terrace that surrounds it and, on the ground floor, a projection room and various meeting rooms are available. Up to 550 persons can meet in the former outbuildings and dine in the Chateau.

A few minutes away, one can also enjoy a golf course, horse riding but also many excursions to the renown vineyards of the Medoc or Saint Emilion, the cultural treasures of Bordeaux or yet the city of Arcachon on the Atlantic coast line.
